Vehicle Description
There were 235,151 Camaros produced in 1968, with only 7,199
equipped with the Z/28 special engine and equipment package. This
1968 Z/28 has 44,500 original miles and has undergone a recent
nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration. Renowned Camaro expert Jerry
MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance has inspected this original
Matador Red Z/28 and provided a Certificate of Authenticity
documenting the original matching-numbers 302/290hp V8 with the
original Holley carburetor, mated to a M21 4-speed close-ratio
manual transmission, posi-traction 3.73 rear axle and original smog
system. Other documented options include tinted glass, spoiler
equipment, power disc brakes, deluxe steering wheel, AM radio,
custom deluxe seat/shoulder belts and 15" Rally wheels with new
original-type Goodyear wide-tread GT tires. Also included are the
Camaro Hi-Performance Certificate of Authenticity, NCRS Shipping
Data Report, owner's manual and partial ownership and title
history.
