Vehicle Description
This 1965 Ford Mustang Pro-Touring Maier Racing widebody conversion
coupe is the product of a fresh, professional, no-expense-spared,
one-of-a-kind build that was recently completed. The new 2018 PPG
Calvary Blue two-stage base coat/clear coat finish is complemented
with dual white LeMans GT racing stripes. The brand-new paint has
been color-sanded, buffed and polished to a brilliant shine.
Powder-coated matte black accents include the front and rear
bumpers, window moldings, taillight bezels, door sill plates, door
handles and side mirrors. The exterior is complemented with a new
TMI Products Pony-style black interior with large side bolstering,
suede inserts and matching blue stitching. The built 351ci Windsor
V8 power house gives was built using AFR aluminum heads, fully
tuned Demon carburetor, high-rise intake manifold, MSD Ignition and
an MSD distributer. The engine is backed by a C4 3-speed manual
valve body transmission, which is manually shifted with no need for
a clutch. Creating the rumble are shorty headers, dual full-length
2-1/2" exhaust, H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Feeding this
powerhouse engine is a sumped fuel tank with electronic fuel pump
and fuel pressure regulator. This street-friendly custom
Pro-Touring Maier Racing widebody Resto-Mod coupe stays running
cool with its aluminum radiator with oversized fan shroud and
overflow tank. The suspension has been upgraded with a
custom-fabricated front end, including QA1 coilovers, camber kit,
tubular control arms, rack & pinion steering and subframe
connectors. The suspension also hosts a Ford 8" rear end with
31-spline axles and 3.25 gears. At all four corners are custom-made
19x11" wheels wrapped in new Toyo Proxes tires. For stopping power,
this Mustang has been upgraded with disc brakes.
