1981 Honda GOLD WING GL1100 in Scottsdale, Arizona
The Honda GL1100 Gold Wing model is a touring bike manufactured by
Honda. In this version, sold from 1979 on, it is equipped with a
4-cylinder 4-stroke boxer engine that produces a maximum 83hp,
backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. With this drivetrain, the
Honda GL1100 Gold Wing can reach a top speed of 119 mph. The
chassis features a front air-assisted telescoping fork, rear
air-assisted shocks and tube-type tires. For stopping power, it is
equipped with front dual disc brakes with 2-piston calipers and a
single disc brake with single-piston calipers in the rear. This
Gold Wing has numerous options, including a JVC stereo system,
saddlebags and a removable trunk. The seats, padding,
instrumentation and accessories all fare well, and mechanically the
Gold Wing's engine remains strong and in good running condition. It
received a new battery and has undergone a recent full service.
