This 1970 GSX Stage 1 is a Buick Nationals, Concourse Gold Award-Winner that underwent a meticulous frame-off, nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration in 2010.
GSX Historic Society documented as #543 of 678 and included in the Stage 1 Registry. After its completion it was a showpiece for the Sloan Museum in Flint, MI. This car is absolutely stunning!
The laser-straight body is finished in vibrant, code-correct Saturn Yellow paint with a clear coat, mirror-like shine. This GSX is powered by a GM AX-GS Stage 1, 455 Cu. In. engine that was completely rebuilt in 2010 and mated to a TH 400 automatic transmission.
Out back is the, posi-traction, 3.42 geared rear-end. All of the Soft Ray tinted glass is clear. The bumpers were re-chromed. The bottom of the car is as clean an gorgeous as the top, with all tags intact everywhere they are supposed to be. The frame has been media blasted and powder coated.
The interior is simply stunning and flawless and has new hand-worked seats, carpet, Gauges, Rally clock, hood tachometer and Rally steering wheel. The seatbelts and Sonomatic radio with factory speaker system are correct, as is the dash and the door panels have been reworked as well.
It rides on a set of Goodyear Polyglas GTs wrapped around the original G 60 15" Chrome Rally Wheels.
