Vehicle Description
An outstanding color scheme draped over its stout, capable-looking
exterior combines with a strong running drivetrain to make this
1969 Chevrolet C10 Stepside a very appealing classic. It's only
about 2,000 miles beyond a thorough restoration and will begin its
next chapter of service complete with both restoration photos and
build receipts in tow.
C10 Stepsides of this era have such a robust, hearty appearance to
them- their relatively short beds accentuate their width and make
them seem like they're capable of handling any task you set in
front of them. The two-tone black and gray paint scheme this one
wears is a real winner - you can see right off it's been applied
with skill and it has a great shine that follows you as you circle
this classic truck. The blue painted stripes running the lengths of
the sides and across the tailgate are a great visual detail. The
black billet front grille and cowl hood add to its aggressive
appearance. Pretty much all this truck's brightwork, as well as its
front and rear bumpers, has been recently replaced. Fresh
weatherstripping and new glass surround the cabin and the exterior
alignment on this Chevy is very strong, that blue stripe runs very
even as it transitions from front fender to door and back to the
rear bed area, and its doors open and shut very smoothly.
The interior is in great condition, not a huge surprise,
considering it was redone from scratch, and a refurbished bench
seat that combines black vinyl and gray sits at its center, showing
some great detailing. It's well padded and comfortable and its
diamond shaped inserts blend perfectly with the door panels to each
side. A show stopper of a Chevy badged billet steering wheel sits
on its tilting chrome column while just beyond it, a matching
billet instrument panel encircles the assortment of clear,
functional Autometer gauges and an awesome, suede finished dash pad
runs the width of the cabin. This pickup's next lucky owner will
have his or her audio desires well covered - the aftermarket
AM/FM/CD stereo recessed into the center of the dash teams with an
Alpine subwoofer and amp, as well as an array of quality speakers,
to fill the interior with sound. The bed area in back has seen all
the attention it needs to keep it looking great, its floor is lined
with well-prepped wooden planks and you'll find no blemishes on its
straight, shiny walls.
The 350 cubic inch Ramjet V8 at the center of the engine
compartment is running strong and has been visually improved with
upgraded elements that include a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, a
pair of Chevy-badged chrome valve covers and an impressively
finished Edelbrock intake manifold. A Holley Sniper EFI system now
sits on top of the manifold, so this classic truck enjoys both
convenient adjustability and optimum all-weather performance, and a
new Painless Wiring harness has been added to the mix for increased
dependability. The powerplant teams with a solidly-shifting 3-speed
automatic TH400 transmission and sounds great as it vocalizes into
the long tube headers leading out to its Flowmaster dual exhaust.
This truck is a very strong driver - in addition to the punch it's
packing, its power steering is smooth and its suspension is in good
form so it really rides nicely, while power brakes that feature
discs up front bring its set of Torq Thrust II style wheels - 20"
in front and 22" in back and wrapped with Toyo tires - to
dependable stops.
Blending plenty of vintage charm with a great array of upgrades to
enhance both its drivability and curb appeal, this 1969 Chevrolet
C10 Stepside is going to make some classic truck enthusiast very
happy. Call today!
