Vehicle Description
Why This Car Is Special
This Mustang GT is an "A" Code which means more power and the GT
package which adds greatly to the overall appeal.
Mechanical
The 289 CID V8 engine puts out 225 horsepower. Compare that to the
base "C" code 289 that puts out 200. Front disc brakes, a quick
ratio steering box and large sway bars are all part of the GT
package. A 4-speed manual transmission backs up the V8 engine and
runs out back to a Ford 8" rear end. The exhaust has a great muscle
car tone and exits the rear valance with trumpet exhaust tips.
Interior
The interior is pretty stock and in great shape. Black vinyl bucket
seats with seat belts and a 4-speed manual with Hurst shifter and
white Hurst ball is right at your fingertips. A modern style AM/FM
radio has been installed that utilized the factory holes, so no
cutting of the dash was needed. This Mustang has the deluxe
interior and the trunk is finished off with the correct trunk mat
and spare tire cover with Jacking Instructions sticker on the trunk
lid.
Exterior
Not much looks better than a first-generation Mustang in Candy
Apple Red. This car has a great look with styled steel wheels, GT
badging, trumpet exhaust, GT fog lights, GT rocker stripes and GT
gas cap. The taillight panel is covered in a carbon fiber that
looks great.
Conclusion
This is a great piece of American history that is ready to show and
go. If you're looking for a solid and clean 66 Mustang GT, you've
found it!
