THE STORY BEHIND THIS 1945 FORD HALF TON PICKUP

A few weeks ago, I sold a very customized 1947 Plymouth to a wonderful gentleman from Virginia who has now become a very good friend.  He loves cars and is an avid collector (already purchased 7 so far this year). He offered me this Incredible Restored 1945 Ford Half Ton Pickup as a trade ... and ... after seeing the pictures ... I absolutely agreed!  I have always loved Old Ford Pickups ... but ... never imagined owning a "War Era" one ... since ... it is my understanding that only a few were ever made ... and ... those were reserved for the Military or Military Contractors.

WOW ... were we pleased when it arrived and we examined (Close Up) this Beautiful '45 Ford Pickup.  This has to be one of the most usable ... and ... drivable "Old School" Pickups I have ever owned.  And ... the cab is comfortable for even a big guy to drive (I am 6' 2" and over 265 lbs).

Also ... Inside the cab was a package of information that included a list of the final Restoration items recently completed.

• Replaced the gas line from the Tank to the Fuel pump
• Installed a Gas Filter in the new line
• Replaced the Battery
• Replaced Battery Cables
• Completely repaired and rebuilt Radiator and replaced Hoses
• Replaced Master Brake Cylinder & replaced all Wheel Cylinders
• Replaced all brake lines including Metal and Flex Hoses
• Replaced E-Brake Cable & both rear Brake Cables
• Replaced and install complete new Wiring Harness
• Replaced Voltage Regulator, Horn Relay and Horn
• Repair and replaced Steering Column
• Replaced Ignition Switch
• Replaced Choke Cable & repair, overhaul and replace Carburetor
• Replaced rear fender Braces
• Replaced Headlights, and Brake lights including pig tails
