1974 Jaguar XKE "E Type" Series III Roadster. This Jaguar is being offered at absolute auction by the late Robert H. Ledbetter estate. While at dinner in 1974, and after a cheap ring for a decoy present, the mischievous Robert surprised his lovely wife Betty with a shiny new silver Jaguar roadster on their wedding anniversary. For the next 25 or so years, Ms Betty enjoyed sporting around North Georgia on weekends and special occasions in her Metallic Silver Jaguar. The Roadster has been used sparingly and stored since 1998, and currently only 29,000 miles are on the odometer. The original black leather interior, dash, instruments and wood grain steering wheel are as they were back in 1974. It has an automatic transmission, factory air conditioning and wire wheels. The only change from stock original equipment is the updated sound system. Power is provided by a 5.3 Liter 24 valve V-12. 1974 is the last year of production of this model.
Although she has so many precious memories with this car, Ms. Betty has reluctantly decided that it's time for someone else to enjoy her baby, and it is being sold TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER REGARDLESS OF PRICE at NO RESERVE!!!!
And by the way, she still has the decoy ring and the box it came in.........
