For Sale: 1976 Ford Mustang II Cobra in Kentwood, Michigan
Hitting the market in 1973, the all new Mustang II was a
considerable change from its predecessor and was offered in
notchback and fastback styles on a platform shared with the compact
Pinto. Just three engine options were offered, a 2.3L I4, 2.8L V6,
and a 4.9L V8. Due to the recent oil crisis, an emphasis was placed
on fuel efficiency and a new "MPG" trim was introduced in 1975 that
featured a taller 3.18 rear axle and a catalytic converter that
enabled it to score 23/34 city/highway MPG scores.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring this lovely 1976 Mustang II to
your attention. Finished in a simple shade of White with Medium
Bright Blue Poly lower accents, this Mustang II is in remarkable
shape. The car is all original inside and out and was purchased
last year from the original owner who had it since new. The
exterior is very clean and straight, with contrasting paintwork,
factory steel wheels, brand new white wall tires, a rear hatchback,
and MPG decals. The interior is clean and original as well, with
patterned blue cloth seats, winder windows, wood trimmed shift
knob, handbrake, and steering wheel. It also features a factory
AM/FM cassette deck and as well as a tachometer. The car has just
45k miles on the clock and it is said to be all original and that
the car has always been garaged.
The car had is well loved and cared for by its two owners and it
recently was treated to a new original carburetor on the smooth
running 2.3L I4 engine. The car is highly original and it is very
unique to find one in this condition. You won't be
