This is the last model year of the old big Royce’s. It has the latest updates Rolls made to this 10 year car model. It was ordered with a special second enclosed glove box. It has two rare original Rolls pans bolted under the car to catch a drip when gaskets get old. These are usually tossed by American mechanics, who don't know how effective they are.
Some of the new items include the brakes, windshield and rear window, speedometer, clock, headliner, original leather seats refinished, alternator, chrome redone and double dipped, thermostat, new extra wide modern white side wall tires - this is a partial list. The air conditioner was replaced. The original air conditioner was left intact for the purists. We have receipts for the extensive list of special items installed in the car.
The best thing about this car is the body and paint. It was done by noted craftsman, Marc Willis in Oregon. The body is perfectly straight no dents, ripples, or scratches of any kind. It won at the first concourse event in Palm Springs. Paint is a challenge on these cars as the boot, bonnet and doors are in aluminum - which means different primer and paint is used to match the steel body. The paint work from bare metal was 50K, Marc used standard Rolls colors, but used a splash of purple in the dark top. The silver has an extra splash of white in it. It turns heads.
We have had this car for over 12 years. It is serviced by Edmund's Rolls Royce /Jaguar in Palm Desert. Edmund knows this car. It is stored in our air conditioned garage and has been driven regularly 400 miles a year on early Sunday mornings.
