For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

Presenting a magnificent 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Custom that we’ve nick-named “Linda”.  This is the best overall first generation Ford Mustang we’ve ever owned at MS CLASSIC CARS. That says alot considering some of amazing Mustangs we’ve collected and sold over the years.  This car was born as an original 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback with a 6 cylinder engine, 4-speed transmission and factory air conditioning.  A gentleman named Herb purchased this car locally for his wife named Linda as a 25thyear wedding anniversary gift for her to enjoy.  It was the perfect candidate for a custom build.  Herb started restoring the car using his steel fabricating and engineering skills customizing the car.  Unfortunately at the age of 58 Herb passed leaving the car unfinished.  Linda wanted to finish the project so she sent the car to well-known builder Peter Len of F100 Connection.  It was important to keep Herbs vision of a building a classic with modern luxury and performance.  The car underwent an extensive rotisserie restoration.  A complete sub-frame and 10-point roll cage was incorporated into the body structure for safety and comfort.  The inner structure was modified to feature 3” wider rear wheel tubs and a rear seat bulkhead.  Work was done to the floor pans and the transmission tunnel was raised for engine/transmission fit and alignment.  Custom fabrication was done for 3/16” body panel gaps.  The body gaps are stunning and the body is laser straight.  The car was painted in 2015 Ford Mustang Cranberry Red which is absolutely breathtaking.  This is a high end show quality paint job.  Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as all the glass, stainless trim, wipers, grill, bumpers, door handles, etc.  The car sits perfectly on E-T Classic V 15” wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TA tires that are 205-60-15 on the front and 295-50-15 on the rear.  The all new black interior was completed by RPM Upholstery and complements the exterior perfectly.  The interior was wrapped in Dynamat throughout for noise and heat reduction.  It has custom door panels and hardware, front bucket seats with power driver’s seat with lumbar support, rear seats, rear deck and gray carpet.  Some interior upgrades include American Auto Wire 22 circuit fuse panel, Classic Instruments Silver Series gauges, Flaming River tilt steering column, Navigator steering wheel, Vintage Air Conditioning and heating system, Ron Morris shifter and custom sound system with Auto Sound head unit, Rockford Fosgate amplifier and Power T1 full range speakers.  For safety, 3-point retractable front seat belts and rear lap belts were installed.  The trunk compartment was upholstered to match the interior and is home to the Optima red top battery with power disconnect lever.  The highly detailed engine compartment has been customized with a smooth firewall and inner fenders that were painted Pewter metallic.  The engine is a 302 V8 that was built by Tyler King.  The engine is a Ford 5.0L GT Windsor bored .040, balanced and blue printed.  Some engine features include Ford Performance #F303 Hydraulic Roller Cam and Rockers, Scat H-Beam connecting rods, KB Hypereutectic pistons, ARP internal engine bolts, Edelbrock RPM Aluminum heads that were painted black, Fi Tech fuel injection, Aeromotive internal fuel pump with stainless lines and Vintage Air Frontrunner billet drive system.  The engine runs and sounds beautiful.  The engine is cooled by a Griffin aluminum radiator with oversized electric fan and custom overfill canister.  The engine breathes through Tri-Y headers with a custom 2 ½ exhaust system by Cerakote ceramic coatings.  The mufflers and parts of pipes are wrapped.  The engine is coupled to a Ford M5R2 Thunderbird Super Coupe 5-speed manual transmission.  It’s equipped with a Center Force hydraulic clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing.  The transmission shifts really smoothly and feels great. The power is transferred through the Narrowed Ford 9” rear axle with 3.55 Tracloc center section with triangle four bar mounts.  The undercarriage is highly detailed and mirror quality.  The front suspension consists of a M-II custom cross-member with power rack and pinion steering, tubular lower control arms and QA1 adjustable coil overs.  The rear suspension consists of a narrowed rear sub-frame with Triangle 4-bar and Art Morrison coil overs.  The braking system consists of a CPP 7” power booster, aluminum master cylinder, Wilwood front calipers with 11” rotors, Wilwood Dynapro 11” rear disc with internal parking brake, stainless steel brake lines with 3AN fittings and braided hoses.  This car turned out spectacular and is truly a special piece.  Peter Len and his team did an excellent job that Herb would be very proud of.  Peter Len made a custom binder that is a complete owner’s manual and poster for the car that is included.  A car cover is also included. The car only has 150 test miles since completion and is ready for the new owner to enjoy.

**PLEASE CALL MS CLASSIC CARS OWNER MARC SCHILIRO FOR A VERY ACCURATE VERBAL DESCRIPTION OF THIS VEHICLE**

**AS INDICATED ABOVE DURING THE RESTORATION THE INNER FENDERS WERE CUSTOM MADE.  THE ORIGINAL FENDER WITH VIN NUMBER STAMPING WAS DISREGARDED SO THE CAR WAS ASSIGNED A WASHINGTON STATE VIN NUMBER.  THIS REALLY DOESN’T MATTER SINCE THE CAR IS A CUSTOM BUILD.  THE CAR IS TITLED AS A 1966 FORD MUSTANG.  THE CAR CAN BE TITLED AND REGISTERED IN ALL 50 STATES WITH NO ISSUES.**
