This is a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo race car built and owned by
racing legend Jimmy Spencer. This car has been out of the limelight
and privately owned by Jimmy Spencer himself since he originally
commissioned its build nearly 20 years ago in 1999.
Although this Monte Carlo was built as a brand-new race car for
Spencer Motor Ventures in 1999, it never saw any action on the
track. In 2000, the Monte Carlo body style changed and many racers
were retrofitting their current cars with the new body. Jimmy
Spencer had this brand-new, never raced Monte Carlo but could not
bring himself to cut up a new, unused car so he kept it as a backup
race car. Again, it never had a reason to see any action! After it
became outdated and Jimmy stopped racing, it remained in his
private ownership as a conversation piece until recently when he
decided to sell it.
This is a complete race car minus the engine, transmission, and
driveshaft. It is complete with a fuel cell, gauges, ignition,
seatbelts, and all suspension components. It has brake calipers but
is missing a brake bracket. The rear end has 6.50 gears and a
locker. This car is composed of a Monte Carlo body on a Laughlin
drop snout chassis.
Originally created as a Busch Series car, this Jimmy Spencer Zippo
NASCAR would be the perfect display piece for a Zippo or NASCAR
enthusiast. It comes with a custom-fit car cover with Zippo logos
on it. Additionally, with a little work and drivetrain
installation, this would be an excellent choice for a vintage
racer.

commercial carriers. Most of which can deliver the vehicle to your
driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays
incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.
