ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, 1957 PORSCHE 356A CARRERA GT COUPE REPLICA WITH JUST 250 MILES SINCE COMPLETION....NEAR FLAWLESS AND LOADED WITH COOL OPTIONS INCLUDING AIR CONDITIONING!! HIGH END BUILD READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!
This stunning 356A replica was complete in mid-2016 and built by JPS Motorsports in California. The gentleman I purchased it from was sadly diagnosed with terminal cancer and never had the chance to enjoy the car. He asked his son to sell this car and others for him and sadly the day after I purchased it he passed away. The next lucky owner will be thrilled when this exquisite car arrives in their driveway...maybe you??
It was built as a tribute to the Carrera GT but with some upgraded modern amenities like Air Conditioning, power windows, etc. You will see in the pictures it has 2 different looks with or without the Porsche emblem hub caps. JPS Motorsports has an excellent reputation for the quality of their builds and this coupe features a steel reinforced fiberglass body over a refurbished VW chassis. As a result the car is titled as a 1969 VW which means registration and insurance is cheap and easy. The exterior was finished in Porsche Silver Metallic and features a Carrera style louvered deck lid, dual fender mounted mirrors, pop-out rear quarter windows, a pop up fuel filler on the hood, driving lights and mesh headlight covers. Carrera and Porsche emblems dress it out along with some Porsche Club emblem badges on the trunk lid. Body and paint are absolutely gorgeous and near flawless with only one tiny rock chip on the front of the car. The quality of the build is top-notch and only you will know it is not a genuine 1957 356A.
The cabin is dressed out in Can Can Red leather with German Weave gray carpeting. Speedster style bucket seats are like new and very comfortable. Door panels, dash pad, shifter cover and e-brake boot are drenched in matching leather. Classy woodgrain shift knob. Nice set of Black/Red cocoa mats for driver and passenger. Power windows operate smoothly. For those of you in the hot climates you will be kept comfortable courtesy of the Vintage Air conditioning option that was installed. Those needing heat will get it when needed from the heater installed under dash. Nardi Wood steering wheel with Porsche Crest horn button and an hem style VDO gauge cluster awaits the driver. Digital odometer currently reads just under 250 miles. The interior looks and smells like new.
This 356 Coupe is powered by a newly built 2110cc flat four that puts out about 120 horsepower according to JPS Motorsports. Engine components include new aluminum case full flowed for external oil filter, 82mm counter weighted and balanced crankshaft, 90.5 bore Mahle Barrels and pistons, 110 rated SCAT cam, mild port and polished head, dual weber 40 carburetors, Bosch distributor, heat exchangers, auxiliary electric oil cooler and more!! Freeway flyer 3.88 4-speed transmission with great highway cruising gears, upgraded 200mm Sachs Clutch, and 12 pound flywheel offer the driver a smooth shifting driving experience. Great tone from the A-1 Carrera Stinger exhaust. Independent suspension utilizing gas shocks and front sway bar. Four Wheel disc brakes linked to a dual master system for precise stopping. The wide 5 OEM style wheels are wrapped in Michelin rubber to keep this baby glued to the road. The owner has the option of keeping the classy chrome Porsche emblem hub caps on or remove them for more of a raw, track look that is consistent with the Carrera GT.
Be sure to watch the video to see and hear this awesome car running!!!
As you can see this 356A Coupe is extremely well appointed with options, looks practically brand new, has only 250 break in miles, and is ready for your driving enjoyment.
