1961 Buick Invicta bubbletop ( only 6300 produced. ) Purchased
9/2015 out of Denver Co. as a rust free driver. Started total frame
on restoration shortly after it arrived in NC. Disassembled car
entirely except for rear end and began transformation into the
beautiful crowd pleaser it is today. Stripped it to bare metal
after thorough steam cleaning. Removed interior to clean and
dynamat floors prior to tasteful makeover inside. ( Interior was in
good condition but I've installed new carpet, recovered seats and
dyed dash pad. ) Car retains its original 401 ci nailhead, trannu
and 3.23 posi rear. Engine completely rebuilt and has 1500 miles.
Tranny and rear end serviced and works beautifully. New show
quality base/clear metallic pearl paint 1 yr old. New 18/20'
wheel/tire combo. Jamco 3' front and 2' rear lowering springs
provide the great stance. Power steering and power booster rebuilt
and work great. This ole Buick drives, rides and performs great.
High quality restoration on the a great cruiser. Many awards
including Goodguys ' Bitchin Buick ' pick at 2017 s.e. nationals.
