Vehicle Description
Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's
Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful
1965 Mustang K Code Fastback. We're going to start by saying we are
Chevy guys so if at any point in time in this description we mess
up our "Ford Speak" we apologize in advance. Having said that we do
know classics and muscle and QUALITY when we see it and this K Code
Fastback is an TOP INVESTMENT GRADE car.Every Nut and Bolt. Period.
Every One. We don't say perfect, nothing to us is a #1 concours
car. Except this one. (And just to let all of us know nothing is
ever perfect there are two slight cracks on the glass of the
instruments). Restored at a phenomenal cost by a restorer renowned
for his MCA (Mustang Club of America) and SAAC (Shelby American
Automobile Club) Concours Gold Winners we are betting this car is a
Gold caliber car looking for judgment day. Its that nice.
Everywhere. If you wonder if it can possibly be as good as the
pictures it is. That restoration was completed after a 2013
purchase (for a princely sum of money) from the Mustang Boys in
Texas- Forristalls. We're betting if you know Mustangs you know
them.K-Code, Hipo the terms that mark the penultimate Mustangs in
1965. 289 and 271 Horsepower. Yikes. Then let's talk 4- speed. Then
let's talk Rangoon Red. Then let's talk Fastback 2 plus 2. Holy
c--p this car is in the world of the unobtanium. Let's talk paint
daubs, correct finishes everywhere- top, bottom, inside and out.
It's all CORRECT.Oh yea, did we mention it's the ORIGINAL, NUMBERS
MATCHING ENGINE. The stamping is there and is correct on the
original, untouched pebbled finished block just where it should be.
If you have any doubts about provenance here picture this- we
couldn't make out the numbers so we cleaned it a bit and then
understood why it was a bit difficult for us- the intrepid worker
at Ford in 1965 saw fit to stamp the number 2 upside down to the
other numbers. Only on an assembly line in the 60's.We would
suggest to anyone interested that this car is really not a driver-
it's a show horse (get it -- Mustang) and should be treated as
such. We were told she did about a hundred miles of fettling so if
you are so inclined (and wealthy enough) to just drive the wheels
off we are sure you would be very pleased with this car's
performance. (Please don't drive it- its toooooooo
niiiiiiiice).Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it
as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it
yours. We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our
travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have
materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of
your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place
since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money
yet.... We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing
them properly.Additional pictures and video are available, please
