Vehicle Description
STK 2527 1975 Jeep CJ5
In its prime, there was nothing that could match the prowess of a
CJ-5 in the backcountry - and this partially restored 1975 CJ-5
wants to continue the journey. Starting with a solid chassis, the
body was replaced with a fiberglass unit and one-piece front clip.
It was then nicely refinished in Burnt Orange and fitted with a new
full top and doors. There is a sturdy front 'Bull Bar' and steel
roll bar neatly tucked under the top. The interior is all business.
Seats were reupholstered in black vinyl and there is a full
compliment of Stewart-Warner gauges mounted in a one-off custom oak
dash. A custom 3-spoke alloy wheel is mounted on a tilt steering
column and the center 'console' is also oak. During this era the
CJ-5, Jeep used powertrains from various manufacturers. We are not
certain, but this drivetrain appears to be all-original. The 304ci
AMC V8 was one of the best engines used in the CJ series. It is
rated at 150bhp and 245 lb/ft of torque with a 2-barrel
intake/carb. The transmission is a Borg-Warner T-15 3-speed manual
with 10.5" clutch. It is mated to a 2wd/4wd, Hi/Lo Dana transfer
case with manual Superwinch front hubs. Axles are Dana 30
front/Dana 44 rear units with 3.73:1 gearing. The chassis retains
stock leaf spring suspension, manual steering and manual 4-wheel
drum brakes w/ dual master cylinder. BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A
off-road tires are mounted on deep 15" Pacer alloy rims. This great
CJ-5 has been carefully modified - complete and ready to go
off-roading. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
