Vehicle Description
Morris Minor produced automobiles from 1948 through 1972. Over 1.6
Million autos were produced in a variety of body styles in three
major generations, 1948-1953, 1953-1956 and finally the 1000 series
from 1956-1971. The vehicle we are talking about today is a 1000
series Morris that is actually referred to as a Quarter-Ton truck
or van that was used for delivery purposes mostly. They were built
from 1953- through end of production. They were usually a closed
van or flat-bed pickup design. This particular driver quality
example is pretty exciting to have as it seems most people have not
seen one before. This van has undergone a restoration and re-paint
at some time that shows some sign of paint fatigue but is still
very solid with nor rust or rot. This little "Moggie" starts, runs,
shifts and brakes as you would imagine and is a lot of fun to drive
around town. It would be one heck of a advertising tool or use it
in your local British Car Club meets.
