Gateway Classic Cars of Nashville is proud to present this one of a
kind 1963 Chevrolet Corvair for sale! If you're reading this, I'll
assume you know the basics of a Corvair and are familiar with the
name Ralph Nadar. You may also know about the quadri-suspension
that made these cars ride nicely and the rear mounted engine and
transaxle that let you have a light handling agile little car.
However, that's all gone. Ralph Nadar should be pleased, as these
were some of the features that lead him (perhaps erroneously) to
the conclusion that the Corvair was "unsafe at any speed." If you
shared the sentiment, or perhaps just thought the layout was plain
unamerican... then you might just love this 1963 Corvair! With this
little bullet, the small displacement flat 6-cylinder engine was
ditched right off the bat. Taking it's place is a rowdy little 350
CID small block chevy V8. The new suspension was sourced in front
from a Mustang II and in the rear from an S-10 pickup truck. This
means the 4-wheel independent suspension is gone... Ralph is happy,
and you will be too when you're doing massive burnouts or just
taking a mustang off the line with ease! Options on this one of a
kind machine include vinyl interior, cd player, am/fm radio,
automatic top, and more! This little 1963 Corvair for sale in our
