Vehicle Description
You're looking at a numbers-matching 1972 Chevrolet Corvette
convertible that been restored to really enjoy, right down to its
smooth operation and A/C interior.
There were a few blues on the Corvette's color palette for '72, but
none of them were this bold. This Stingray was given a complete
fame-off restoration later in life, and while they kept many of the
classic elements, they couldn't resist upgrading the color. And who
could blame them? The metallic blue has a wonderful radiance in the
sunshine, and that's exactly what you want on a convertible. We all
know this was the last year for the chrome lover's C3, and so this
one does it right with the bumpers, rockers, full trim, and Rally
wheels all having the bright look of a quality investment. It gives
this Corvette such an overall bright personality, and that's why
we're glad to see the pristine bright white top for those who
really want radiance.
But when you take the top down a new attitude is shown. The
factory-correct black interior really has a nice performance car
look. You can tell they spent plenty in the restoration budget to
get the bucket seats, dash, and other details looking deep and
dark. The interior is really built for the driver. That's why you
have a large speedo and tach directly in front of you, and a full
set of auxiliary readouts sitting in the middle at eye-level. This
is made to be a great cruiser, and so you get the right features,
like power windows, a tilt steering column, and provisions for an
upgraded stereo. Plus, cold air conditioning means you can stay
comfortable with the top down long into the summer season.
Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8.
You can see it received the right attention - everything from newer
hoses to bright chrome accessories. Plus, the Quadrajet four-barrel
carburetor was rebuilt. That's why the motor fires up readily and
runs so smoothly. This refined feeling continues out on the road
where sports car features like the fully independent suspension and
four-wheel disc brakes combine with great anytime driving features,
like the power steering and three-speed automatic transmission.
We have the photo book that shows the frame-off restoration, and
the undercarriage photos prove to you how clean this Stingray
remains today. There's also the owner's manual and service manuals
that come with the sale. So you're looking at an iconic classic
with all the features you want - and all for an obtainable price.
