Vehicle Description
Everything about this car is the very definition of a Classic. It's
the right car. A '69 Camaro. It's the right colors. Silver on
Black. It's got the right engine. A 396. It's just looking for the
right buyer. Would that be you?
Arguably the best-looking front end of any muscle car ever built,
the hideaway headlights create a super clean look. And for '69,
those headlights are electrically operated. There is an SS badge in
the center of the grill and big round fog lights look awesome
recessed into the valence below the pencil thin front bumper. Code
69 Cortez Silver is the factory original color for this car and it
looks great. From the side, the car has an aggressive stance. A
black "hockey stick" stripe frames a 396 badge at the front and
nicely highlights the upper curve of the front fender trailing off
and ending on the door. The wheel wells are trimmed in chrome and
there are Camaro SS badges on the front fenders. A trunk spoiler
sits over a blacked-out taillight panel with an SS badge in the
center and is underlined by another sharp looking bumper.
Open the door and you will find a Black interior that is completely
stock and also the factory original color. The door panel is super
clean with horizontal lines surrounded by thin chrome piping in the
center and a slash of chrome across the top. A two spoke steering
wheel has an SS badge in the center and sits in front of a neat and
clean stock dashboard. The high back buckets have been
reupholstered and are comfortable with horizontal pleating on the
seating surface with smooth vinyl surrounding it. A chrome shifter
and shift knob for the 4-speed manual transmission rises up out of
the wood grained center console and just begs to be stirred around.
The black carpets are in excellent condition and protected by black
carpet floor mats and a nice clean headliner ties the look together
nicely.
Pop that cowl induction hood up and you will find a very desirable
396 cubic inch big block motor nestled down in a neat and clean
engine bay. A chrome air topper announces the engine with the 396
callout. It sits on a 4-barrel carburetor which feeds the engine
through a high- rise aluminum intake manifold. Those big-block
valve covers are all chromed up adding a splash of flash to the
engine and the Chevy Orange cast iron is complimented by the yellow
spark plug wires. There is a new master cylinder and brake booster
along with new belts and hoses. Power flows back through that
4-speed trans to a 12-bolt rear end, and front disc brakes insure
that you can haul this car back down from speed after you cut that
engine loose. The rubber meets the road through 255/60R15s in the
rear and 215/70R15s in the front mounted on Rally wheels all
around.
A classic 396 RS/SS in the classic, and factory original, color
combination of Silver on Black. Come on down and check out this
sweet ride. You might just decide to take this classic home and
park it in your garage.
