Vehicle Description
The neat clean lines of these trucks have always been a good look.
This one is nice looking in its bright red paint while some
significant chassis rake and big chrome wheels give it a bit of
attitude. You can go ahead and judge this book by its cover if you
like, because the story inside is just as good. Check it out.
Cruising this truck down Main Street at night must be fun. The
lights would be reflecting off the broad expanses of red paint of
the body panels and dancing off the crisp lines of the hood. It
would certainly be turning heads and getting peoples attention.
What really adds to the effect is what is not there. Like any
badges or ornamentation disturbing the look and the lines. What is
there is just the right amount of nice new chrome. Up front the GMC
grill makes a statement that is different and bolder than its
Chevrolet cousins. A strong cross of chrome divides the grill into
four quarters which are flanked by quad headlights. Chrome dresses
out the leading edge of the hood and fenders too and it is all
underlined by a simple chrome bumper. Out back the look is even
cleaner with two simple taillights edged in polished metal with
another simple bumper underneath. A tonneau cover keeps the look
clean too and operates on hydraulic struts to access a nicely
detailed out bed.
Open the door and you will find that the neat and clean theme
continues in the Black and Red interior too. The door panel is
painted red top and bottom with a black vinyl panel of vertical
patterns adding just the right amount of interest to it. The same
pattern carries through on the comfortable bench seat, you know,
the kind of seat that lets your significant other slide over close
to you for the ride. A deep dish three spoke steering wheel has a
GMC horn button in the center and a shifter for the automatic
transmission on the column. Stock gauges are mounted in a black
panel in the red dash and a Pioneer head unit that is AM/FM/CD and
iPod compatible pumps the sounds out through speakers mounted under
the seats for your listening pleasure. Fresh carpets and a nice
headliner complete the picture and tie the look of the interior
together nicely.
Pop the hood and you will find the story behind the attitude that
the chassis rake conveys. There you will find a 454 cubic inch
powerhouse nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. The
firewall and the inner fender wells have all been coated in flat
black which directs your attention to the star of the show. It is
topped by a polished air cleaner with crossed racing flags
announcing it as a 454. The air it filters is sent down through a
Holley Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer 2.0
intake manifold. Chrome valve covers with bowtie breathers add
their splash of flash while the ignition system gets the spark to
the plugs through yellow wires. Spent gasses are extracted through
long tube headers and sent back to Flowmaster mufflers. Power front
disc brakes insure that you can haul this sweet ride back down from
speed if you let those horses run, and the rubber meets the road
through 255/35ZR20s mounted on those awesome Boss Motorsport alloy
wheels.
A super clean looking GMC C/10 with some serious chassis rake and
the muscle to back up the look. Come on down and check this truck
out. Then take it home with you and go show it off under the
lights.
