p>1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo RestoMod
Description As they used to say on the venerable British comedy
show, Monty Python, "Now for something completely different." What
you are looking at here is a one of kind build on what may well
have been a one of a kind car from the factory. This restomod Monte
has all the stuff that makes it an over the top driver for today's
tastes while still paying some serious homage to it's original
being. By this I mean, it has a transplanted LS3 fuel injected V8
in it and it was originally built with a Big Block LS3 402 from the
factory that power is channeled through a newer Tremec 5 speed
manual transmission that replaces the original 4 speed tranny that
was in this one new. Not only that this one was Special Order Paint
in, you guessed it, Hugger Orange. The original rear end was a posi
with 3:31 gears, those have have been switched out with a 3.42 12
bolt posi. There is even a custom made and desirable Cowl Hood that
functions with acceleration, Power Assist Steering and drilled and
ventilated four wheel Power Disc Brakes, Astro Flo Thru Ventilation
with Adjustable Dash Vents. There is a custom padded console with
storage compartment along with a correct bucket seats that have
been recovered, padded, and had new springs installed. Your pulse
will quicken when the Performance Tuned Dynaomax Dual Exhaust with
electric cutouts hits its stride. It rolls about on17 inch Torque
Thrust and 5 spoke Torque Thrust Wheels with and an excellent set
of matched BFG raised white letter radials. The front and rear
suspensions are Hotchkis with huge sway bars and this handles like
more like a Vette than any Monte you have ever dreamed of. I know,
there are some naysayers that will proclaim this car was never
built and all we brag about here is BS....but low and behold we
have an original build sheet and about 100 pages of receipts for
the build (with specs) to back it up. Here is one that will
absolutely set the car cruise buzzin' with it's levels of quality
build, equipment, and heritage. Oh yea, this one was sold new at
Kenny Ross Chevrolet in Pittsburgh, PA which was one of the east
coast's premier Chevy Muscle Car outlets of the day.
