Vehicle Description
1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Convertible has been extensively
restored. This car has been treated to a host of upgrades,
including the addition of a 427 cu.in. big block mated to a Muncie
4-speed transmission. Aside from its impressive technical
specification, the body has been very well restored and presents in
beautiful condition. Finished in triple black with painted white
stripes, the Chevelle looks outstanding in the metal, with nice,
straight panels and good body alignment. The paintwork shows a few
minor blemishes found on close inspection. It rides with an
aggressive stance on a set of staggered 18-inch Torq Thrust II
wheels, wrapped in 255/40-18 front and 275/45-18 rear tires.
All-black interior features bucket seats, a center console, and
suitably upgraded instruments. It was extensively restored using
period correct upholstery for the seats, proper loop carpet and new
door panels. The cabin is in excellent condition, showing only
minor use since the restoration. Fittings include AM/FM stereo,
seat belts for front and rear passengers, air conditioning, and a
power operated soft top with a glass rear window. Includes the
original set of wheel. This car is fitted with a 1968-date coded
427 big block, topped with Edelbrock intake and 750 CFM Edelbrock
Performer carb. The engine breathes through a set of Hooker headers
and dual exhaust and is well detailed with chrome accessories.
Power is sent through a four-speed Muncie transmission and a stout
GM 12-bolt rear end. Other features include power steering, power
brakes with discs up front, M41 suspension, high-performance rear
sway bar and boxed control arms. Please Note The Following
