1939 Ford Deluxe Fordor was featured in the July/Aug 2006 issue of
the 'The V8 Times' magazine. Father of current owner found this car
in a barn near Vernon, Texas in 1972. He bought it from the man who
bought it new in 1939. Did an off-the-frame restoration that began
about 15 years ago, trying to keep it as original as possible. It
was professionally painted in 2004. The interior was restored by
Gwen's Upholstery of Cleburne in 2004. The car has been staying in
a climate-controlled building for 14 years. As you can see, the
external paint and interior look new. It has an extremely strong
59A-B flathead V8. Kept the original Six Volt system intact. Did
break with the original by adding seatbelts and an Optima battery.
Tires have less than 1000 miles on them. The transmission is the
original one that it came from the factory with: three on the
floor. Please notice the mahogany woodgrain on the dash and window
