In an effort to make the Matador more exciting to the American
public, for 1974, AMC offered a complete redesign for its 2 door
coupe. AMC introduced an aerodynamically styled fastback couple
with pronounced tunnel style headlights. The Matador was also the
only fresh design among American midsized cars at that time. The
car was sporty for sure and offered power plant options in both
small block and big block form. To this day, the Matador X is a
fresh design that still turns heads.
The 1974 AMC Matador X offered here is an attractive car that is
finished in its original factory color, Vineyard Burgundy Metallic
over White Vinyl interior. The car is powered by its 304 V8 engine,
automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. Other features
include: Power steering, power disc brakes, sport wheels with trim
rings, deluxe stripes, special Matador X badging, Bucket seats,
fold down arm rest, 3 spoke steering wheel, AM/FM Radio, etc. With
the exception of a repaint, this car remains very original with
just 40380 miles on the odometer, this unique American piece of the
70's has much to offer its next owner. Dare to be different with
this AMC Matador X.
