Vehicle Description
Its ultra-aggressive appearance may at first elicit a "get out of
the way" response should you see this 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302
Laguna Seca edition on the road, but immediately thereafter, you'll
almost certainly want to move in closer for a good look. It's an
attention getter for sure and, considering there were only about
750 of its kind made in the first place, not only do you not see
many of them on the road, but its collectability is undeniable.
From all perspectives, this Mustang cuts a very special appearance.
The aggressive air dam and grille encircled with red sit in front
of a distinctive contoured hood - looking ultra-sharp - while the
inverse C-stripes on its sides tie in perfectly with the roof above
and spoiler in back. Despite the obvious temptation this street
machine presents to get out on the road for some seriously inspired
driving, it hasn't logged many miles at all - fewer than 9000 of
them, in fact, and the exterior carries just the fresh, unspoiled
look that comes along with it. Its deep black paint is in very
strong condition offering a great, wet-looking shine, and those
accenting decals look just as they did when this '12 first set
rubber to road. As far as stance goes, it's also a winner - it's
nice and low, but not so low as to bring hassles during every day
driving, with an incline that's just right.
Poke your head into the cabin, and you'll see further evidence that
this is no ordinary Mustang. A pair of sharp looking Recaro racing
buckets sit in place with nicely embroidered Boss 302 emblems on
their backrests, while in back the red steel of an X brace added
for structural rigidity is plainly visible. The entire interior
looks to have been treated with respect, so not only does the
special edition seating not show much in the way of wear, but the
dash area is also as fresh as it could be, with an unblemished pad
running across the top and a collection of gauges sitting in the
instrument cluster that are joined by an additional trio sitting
dead center. This factory-modded Mustang is well-appointed for
everyday driving as well - those Recaros are surprisingly
comfortable and, in addition to the air conditioning, power windows
and door locks, cruise control you'd expect given its year, it also
features an AM/FM/CD player with iPod connectivity, as well as an
anti-theft device to help ensure it never leaves your possession
unintended. Driver and passenger side airbags provide an added
measure of safety.
302/5.0 engines have come to be closely associated with Mustangs
over the years - the first one was lowered into an engine
compartment about 50 years ago - but the 5.0-liter Coyote engine on
display here is truly special. Enhanced with ported heads and
revised camshafts, it's good for a full 444 horsepower - more than
enough to propel this modern-day muscle car forward like a rocket.
The powerplant is still at its best - another great byproduct of
this Mustang's lightly travelled status. It teams with a 6-speed
manual transmission that's geared to extract every bit of power and
sounds great as it vocalizes into its quad exhaust system with an
unmistakable growl. By virtue of its special edition configuration,
the 19" wheels painted to match the exterior accents are
show-stoppers and feature Pirelli tires. Just as you'd expect from
a well taken care of, lightly traveled gem like this, the
undercarriage is in top form.
Combining outstanding looks and power with bona fide
collectability, this 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca edition
is a definite "must see". Call today!
