In 1979, a 1947 Thriftmaster 3600 pickup truck went up for sale for
the first time since it was purchased new just over 30 years prior.
When the truck was sold, it was transported to its new home in
Eugene, Oregon where it started a restoration over the next several
years. In 1981, the original 216 cubic inch was swapped out for a
235 cubic inch Inline-6 for added power and reliability. After a
few years the engine was rebuilt in 1987 and the odometer was
rolled back to zero to keep track of how many miles were put on the
rebuilt engine. Since then only 4,500 miles have been logged on
this truck! The truck was then moved down to Colorado where it
resides up to present day and is still owned by the second owner.
Repainted in 2016 by a shop in the Denver area, this truck looks
great and still is a blast to drive after all these years. This
classic Chevrolet pickup would be a great fit for someone looking
for parade vehicle, promotional piece for there business, or even
just weekend cruising! What ever your plans may be this truck is up
for the challenge. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom.
