This number matching 2.0 survivor was serviced in it's early days by Garry Wigglesworth at Translog in York PA...Long considered one of the top 914 experts in the country. It has been upgraded to 5-lug 911 hubs and vented rotors in the front, and the rear was drilled out to 5-lug and unvented rotors were added to the rear...Fitted up nicely with a set of Fuchs alloys with 935 center caps, and Michelin tires.
Recently we gave the 2.0 a tune up, adjusted the original fuel injection, replaced all the push rod tube seals, adjusted the valves w/ new VC gaskets, adjusted the clutch, changed fluids and filters, replaced wiper blades, and sway bar bushing.
We discovered rust on the jack tubes and supports, and replaced them with parts from Stoddard...Also discovered a rust spot on the drivers side rear pan and seat rail support...Replaced the rear pan, cross member, seat hinge brackets, and hinges.
All repairs were correctly welded, seam sealed and painted...The result, a 914 with Zero rust.
The Irish Green paint was done a long time ago, and is holding up well. When they did the color change from saturn yellow to irish green, they were very thorough...Painting inside both trunks, engine compartment and jambs. Today it's a very solid and good looking, and should be considered "better than driver" quality.
Presently tMichelin tires measure 6/32 all around, and brakes are 8/B, all around.
Freshly inspected and emission certified, it's ready for a new driver!
