10,677 actual miles. Full of documentation including build sheet,
window sticker, literature and maintenance receipts. First Corvette
to break the $20,000 mark, actually this one smashed it costing
$24,545.59. The Collector's Edition came highly optioned including
features not available on any other Vette. There were still a few
options not included and this one has those too!
EXTERIOR: Very classy silver beige metallic with fade away decals
available only on the Collector Edition. It still has a majority of
it's original paint, still in nice shape. Stand next to the car the
paint is beautiful. If you look closely there are a few flaws: at
the very nose there is some hairline cracking in the paint, there
are a few minor nicks, the rear bumper is in excellent shape but
the paint has some crazing in the clear. The hatchback rear window,
mirrored bronze t-tops and aluminum finned wheels are unique to the
Collector Edition. Tires are new BFGs. A rare option is the roof
panel carrier, there are mounting holes in the back of the car that
special brackets insert into that are used to transport the tops
which gives more storage inside the car.
INTERIOR: Fully optioned, even with many features only available on
the C.E. The colors were unique, horn button was wrapped in
leather, luxury carpet was more plush and it has all the power
accessories. The multi color door panels are wrapped in genuine
leather. The all leather seats are in new condition (other Vettes
just had leather center sections). Carpet is excellent, has
matching mats. It has the top of the line digital cassette player
with CB radio.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It looks completely original. Not monkeyed
with. The original smog equipment still intact, the hoses, wiring,
heat riser tube to the air cleaner all looks like it did when it
left the factory. It features a fresh air induction that feeds
directly into the air cleaners of the Crossfire Injection system.
First year for a "fuelie" since 1965.
UNDERSIDE: Very original with no damage or alterations. It has been
cleaned but never spray painted. It shows the appropriate patina.
The exhaust with catalytic converter is still original. The rear
leaf spring was replaced.
This is a special Corvette, the very best one you could buy in
1982!
