Iam a sixties child. I grew up surfing and riding around in friends Volkswagen buses chasing waves. When I moved to Tennessee one thing I could hang onto from my youth was a Volkswagen bus. So 20 years ago when I rescued this church bus from a backyard where it was being used as a playhouse. A mild restoration motor rebuilt. It found a new home in my garage. I’m the second owner The interior needs redoing. It’s all original. I just couldn’t bring myself to disturb it. The motor has low mileage and everything works good I drive it to the drive in theater every year. Joy ride Around mostly blocking traffic because of rubberneckers I love this old bus. It always brings me back to younger me.
