Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL !! - VERY RARE !! - ONE FAMILY OWNED FOR 57+ YEARS !! - ALL AMERICAN HENRY FORD STEEL !! - RESTORED SURVIVOR !! - 1929 Ford Model A "Leatherback" Fordor Sedan !! It is VERY RARE as this Briggs "Leatherback" body style was only available in 1929 !! We recently purchased this Model A from the previous 72 year old local Idaho owner who bought it in 1961 when he was 15 years old and as you can tell in the pictures and video it has been his pride and joy for sure !! He was a World War II Navy Veteran and was also very active in the Idaho Civil War Skermish Association. This particular Model A was used for decades as a parade car and has transported dozens of mayors, governors, and politicians in local Idaho parades. It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted Ford patent plate which is shown in a picture. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows !! I have driven this Model A several times and it runs and drives very well !! At the heart of this Model A is what appears to be the STRONG !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - 201 CID - Inline 4 cylinder "L-Head" motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifold, ORIGINAL carburetor, a NEW 3 row radiator, NEW leak-less water pump, NEW spark plugs, NEW coolant hoses and clamps, NEW fan belt, NEW distributor and a NEW starter drive. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - ORIGINAL - Three speed sliding gear manual transmission that also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - CORRECT - Light Tan Cloth bench seat Model A interior is in VERY NICE condition including a VERY NICE Tan Cloth front bench seat, NICE ORIGINAL Model A steering wheel, VERY NICE Matching Tan Cloth door panels, NICE Tan rear carpeting, NICE ORIGINAL Style Black rubber front floor mat, NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge cluster, NICE Tan Cloth headliner and a VERY NICE Tan Cloth rear bench seat. The - CORRECT - Maroon and Black exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! showing several small chips, scratches and imperfections that have been touched up but still looks GREAT !! as you can clearly see in the LENGTHY VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! This Model A comes nicely equipped including working factory headlamps, factory manual throttle and ignition controls, factory manual choke, original rear view mirror, factory folding windshield, original style rotary horn which is no longer working, factory gauge cluster, factory style rear window curtain and the rear mounted spare tire. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Cream White painted steel wire wheels with correct stainless steel center caps wrapped in BRAND NEW - PERIOD CORRECT - 4.50 X 21 blackwall tires, boy do they look OUTSTANDING on this Model A and really give it that CLEAN - "FACTORY ORIGINAL" - look !! All of the ORIGINAL Style chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, VERY NICE NEW Chrome radiator shell and a VERY NICE NEW Chrome "Flying Quail" locking radiator cap. All of the ORIGINAL style light lenses are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle and it shows !! In my opinion, you're not going to find much nicer SOLID ORIGINAL floors than the one's on this BEAUTY !!
