For Sale: 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado in Tucson, Arizona

Vehicle Description

  • Front Disc brakes and hardened Valve seats
  • I purchased this car from the estate of original owner Jesse White, in Chicago. He loved the car so much that he did a costly disc brake conversion adding cornering light assemblies, 2 side rear new mirrors, period correct hazard lite system, electric fuel pump, a nice paint respray with a primer ,alarm system, electric antenna and stereo system. I removed the last 3 items.

The cars factory options included A/C, power windows, 6-way electric seat, trunk lid latch, telescopic steering column, biophonic rear speaker deluxe push button radio chrome wheels, vanity visor.

I performed an extensive systems and mechanical restorations because it sat for many years. The body and interior are in excellent condition considering its age.

Restorations included:

  • AC systems to 134 and installed a new compressor.
  • Totally rebuilt front and rear brake system.
  • Rebuilt heads including hardend valve seats
  • New 4 row radiator (original was 3)
  • 2 new factory CV axles
  • 2 new resonators and NOS exhaust tips
  • 6 new shocks with 4 vertical and 2 rear horizontal.
  • New steering damper shock New correct disc brakes proportioning valve (pictured)
  • New battery
  • New water pump
  • New belts and hoses and washer pump kit
  • New fan clutch
  • New cloth trunk liner
  • New roof rail weather strips
  • New thermostat 2 new trunk rubber drain tubes
  • New antenna
  • New heater valve Rebuilt carburetor
  • New power seat relay ,transmission an motor. Replaced numerous vacuum lines

There are no cracks in the dash and all interior lights work including trunk and engine bay light.  The AM/FM radio works but the speaker and antenna are not hooked up.  Front lights open and close smoothly. Clock does not work.

A dream to cruise at 85 miles per hour.  Smooth, quiet, and no shaking. Tires have only worn max 10%. Had paint professionally detailed by Lux Detailers of Salt Lake City.  Driver side seat has a 3” separation at the seam. (pictured)

Have provided original cloth and welt (pictured)

If you’ve been looking to purchase 60’s classic car you won’t find a nicer, safer car than this one at this price. You can drive this car anywhere. Will provide receipts.
