1972 Buick Electra 225 Limited (2 Dr HT) in Showroom Condition &
47300 miles! A true documented 2-owner SURVIVOR in MINT condition!
FMC is proud to offer one of the nicest big Buicks you have ever
seen! This stunning, all original car has a complete combination of
everything you would want in a true classic cruiser. In this case,
an unrestored classic cruiser! Big Buicks like this are impossible
to find in this condition. Body parts and trim are not readily
available. A restoration of a car like this would run in the tens
of thousands so a restoration would not make sense. Your best bet
would be to find one complete and in excellent condition. Bammmm!!
Here it is! In practically New condition, there is nothing to do
and nothing is needed. Absolutely Nothing is needed!!! The Buick
Electra 225 was Buicks top of the line full size luxury car since
its debut in 1959 and remained #1 until it was discontinued in
1990. For years prior to 1959, the Super and the Roadmaster
constituted the upper echelon of Buick's lineup. Both were renamed
the Electra and the Electra 225 respectively until the Electra was
discontinued. This made the Buick Electra 225 a premier luxury car
for the next three decades. The Electra 225 nameplate came about
due to the cars overall length of over 225 inches (18' 8") earning
it the street name, the "deuce and a quarter." This 2 owner car was
purchased by Mr J. Dunigan of Lexington Kentucky in April of 1972
by Baker Williams Buick of Berea KY for a hefty $7814.60. Mr
Dunigan kept his car in flawless condition until it was sold to a
client of FMC in 2013, 41 years later. The second owner kept it in
his private collection in a climate controlled garage where it was
driven less than 500 miles since then. Ventiports The four port
holes, called VentiPorts on each side of the top of the line Buick,
started in the early 50's and initially signified the number of
cylinders in each car. The Roadmaster had the V8 and had four
Ventiports on each side of the car while the Super had a six
cylinder with only three Ventiports on each side. The Ventiports
were briefly discontinued for 1959 but were reinstated again in
1960. In 1960, the Ventiports were changed to signify the class of
vehicle rather than the number of cylinders with the Electra 225
having four on each side while lesser models had three per side.
The '72 model was the fourth generation of the Electra 225 and
continued with four Ventiports per side. In 1972, The "Limited" was
the top of the line vehicle in the Electra 225 class. The body is
near perfect and paint and body parts are all original. There is
one microscopic mark on the car which is shown in the photos. Other
than that, the car is flawless. No dings, no dents and no rust
ever. Trim and chrome are perfect. All glass is original and
perfect. The interior is absolutely a work of art and in flawless
condition. On top of that, every single one of the many options and
gauges all work perfectly. The options list is impressive starting
with the expected, power steering, power disc brakes, power
windows, power 8-way seats driver & passenger, automatic Climate
Control air conditioning, remote mirrors and tilt wheel moving on
to AM-FM stereo 8-track player, trip counter, speed alert, heated
glass rear defogger, power door locks, power trunk release, cruise
control, cornering lights and the most advanced option of the day,
the fiber optic directional and backup indicator lights on the
front fenders and more. Again, every single option and gauge works
perfectly. The 455ci engine is all original including the 4bbl
carburetor as shown. The engine is rated at 250hp which moves this
beauty easily. Best of all, the mileage is documented at 47300
actual miles. Turn the key and it instantly starts with barely a
sound. It idles perfectly and runs like a dream. No hesitation, no
noises, no leaks of any kind. It drives straight as and arrow and
the disc brakes stop as they
