Vehicle Description
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
A Stroker kit is an aftermarket assembly that increases the
displacement of a reciprocating engine by increasing the travel of
the piston ...that is, the piston moves farther up and/or down in
the cylinder.
For consignment is this 1969 Z28 Clone 2-Door Sport Coupe. Redone
with racing red and white stripes, offset by a white vinyl top.
Many engine modifications have been made to this car, as consigner
states these happened when the original car had 55,000 miles on
it.
Exterior
Retains most of its original look for the '69 Z-28. This car has
been mini tubbed to accommodate the larger wheels and tires.
Beautiful red with dual head to toe racing stripes, and a white
vinyl top. A few areas of slight bubbling of the paint can be seen
near the bottom of the B pillar on the rear window as it meets the
trunk, on the spoiler, and on the rear fender. 15.5" Convo Pro
Wheels on the back, and skins on the front, all wrapped in Mickey
Thompsons Rubber. Chromed tipped exhaust pipes have been moved to
the center. All remaining chrome and brite work is in excellent
condition.
Interior
Newer leather racing buckets with headrests, and competition
3-point seatbelts are installed in the front. Door panels, and rear
bench retain original vinyl and factory patterns. A full set of
Autometer gauges, a B & M shifter that runs you through the 3-speed
(automatic) is seen between the buckets. The headliner is in very
nice condition as well as the visors have been stitched with the
Chevy bowtie motif. Black carpeting is seen in good condition and
stretches from door to door. A shift indicator light is present
attached to drivers left. Last a rally style rubber grip steering
wheel is replacing the original steering wheel.
Drivetrain
A GM Turbo 350ci V8 with modified valve body has been morphed in to
a 383ci stroker. Inclusion of an Eagle Steel Crank, 536 lift
hydraulic cam and Edelbrock timing chain set, Dart 11:5:1
Compression Cylinder heads, 2.02 1.60 Manley Pro flow valves,
Crowler 7/16 stainless steel fuel roller rockers are inside. A
650cfm polished Holley 4-barrel carburetor is atop an Edelbrock RPM
intake manifold which has been ported to match heads. An MSD Billet
distributor with Blaster Coil creates the ignition, and exhaust is
blown through Headman Hustler heads, New Doug's full-length
headers, with a 2.5 inch new exhaust, and 2.5 inch Flowmasters. All
the power goes to the rear wheels via a Moser Ford 9-inch rear with
4.10 gears. To stop, new front and rear power discs are bolted
on.
This street racer, and track dominator has been carefully and
thoughtfully upgraded with engine and suspension upgrades, as well
as a full body restore and repaint, and some interior mods to boot.
A noisemaker that is also a performer, you'll be able to turn heads
with the beautiful red paint with white stripes, all be it
neck-snappingly quick!
