Vehicle Description
1 of only 60 made! Only 394 were made this color and of those only
60 had white interior. You won't ever see another one. Plus this
car is decked out with goodies that make it a sharp looker. Only
83,000 miles, it's a well cared for car.
EXTERIOR: Well it's fully decked out that's for sure. It has all
the stripes, spoilers, enduro bumper, racing mirrors, factory
slotted mags and more. They didn't make a Mach 1 convertible, but
if they did this is what it would look like. Not only is the color
ultra rare but it is sharp looking and very current. The body is
really clean and straight. There is no bubbling along the bottoms,
no signs of rust. Tap on the lower fenders and it's the sound of
metal. The seams along the bottom of the doors are clean. The metal
flake paint is laid out evenly. The clear coat finish has been
sanded and polished to look like a piece of wet candy. If you look
for flaws there are some nicks on the edge of the door, there are
cracks in the paint on the rubber bumper. The grill and headlight
bezels and very nice shape. The windshield has been replaced, trim
around the windshield is shiny and straight. The trim around the
convertible is real nice. In back the bumper has been rechromed and
it has the optional bumper gaurds. The trim, taillights, gas cap
are real nice. The slotted mags were a Ford option. These are like
new looking. The BFG tires are new. It has a black convertible top
with glass window in excellent condition. Jambs are clean,
weatherstrip was replaced.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is not abused. The white upholstery looks
good, no tears, cushions are good. Door panels are not cracked.
Dash pad is mint. Entire instrument area/console is very nice, not
damaged. Lenses, knobs and trim look nice. A retro Mustang stereo
that fits into the factory hole was installed. It also has a
factory tilt column. Seatbelts, visors, window cranks all look
good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Not show quality but very clean and
respectable. The metal is all clean, no signs of rust or damage.
Smooth satin black paint. The fender jambs are actually original
paint with original cadium bolts. The wiring, fan shroud, battery
hold down, washer bottle etc all are proper. In the middle of all
this sits a 351 Cleveland big block motor. It's had some
performance added with a big Holley carb sitting on an aluminum
intake, MSD ignition system and headers. Very recently the valve
guides, seals, and oil diffusers were replaced. New fuel pump,
power steering reservoir, valve cover and oil pan gaskets. It's
dressed up with chrome valve covers and air cleaner.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean original trunk compartment. It still has
the original Firestone Wide Oval spare tire. Never used, the ink
stamp is still on the tread. It has the jack too. The jamb still
has original paint and weatherstrip in great shape.
UNDERSIDE: Very respectable, not detailed show condition but the
floors are clean and everything looks proper. Front end components
look good. E-brake cables are hooked up, gas tank looks clean. The
floors and frame rails have clean original metal, the factory seams
and spotwelds are clean. It has the heavy duty C-6 trans, recently
serviced including new bands. It has dual exhaust and disc brakes
up front.
To summarize this is a well cared for car with only 83,000 original
miles. The big motor and a top that goes down make it fun to drive.
It comes with a framed deluxe Marti report and original invoice
