1964 Plymouth Fury Convertible FMC has added yet another Plymouth Fury to its line-up, our third within a two year span from 1964-1965. This Fury is different in two ways. First, this one is a convertible and, unlike the other two, this is a tuned down, original version of the first two. This Fury convertible can best be described as an excellent driver quality car with all its original looks and components with an impressive history. This three owner car was purchased in Glenmoore PA at Francis Motors, Inc by Mr William Lynn in December of 1963. It was driven frequently by Mr Lynn and by November of 1965 had already accumulated over 23500 miles. In 1969, this Fury was sold to its second owner, Mr George TKAxxxx who also lived in PA. That new title dated Oct 1969 still exists today and was passed on to the third and final owner in March of 2017. Original owners manual, warranty booklet and Broadcast Sheet are all with the car and document the history. (Partial records are shown in the photos) This car was immediately repainted by the second owner shortly after he purchased it in 1969. Francis Motors, the same dealership that sold the car to the original owner, did the repaint in 1969. That Acrylic Enamel finish is still shining bright today after nearly 50 years. The paint looks incredible for its age but does have some road rash and a scratch here & there from usage and time however, there are NO dings, dents or rust. All body panels and floors are original and have never been hit. Chrome and trim are 100% original and look beautiful especially with the factory original painted Lucerne Blue side trim pieces that match the interior the original dog dish hubcaps with white rims. The convertible top appears new but it is actually 50 years old as well. It was purchased by the second owner in 1969 but never installed until recently when it was taken out of the original box and put on. It is virtually brand new NOS! The boot is original. The trunk is rust free and original. For the interior, the dash, dash pad and door panels are all original and in great condition. No dash cracks at all and all options and features work as they should including the AM radio. The clock does not work. The carpet is new. The seating is all new including the seat padding. They are a perfect NOS match to the original seats as you can see by the original door panels. The engine is the factory original great running 318ci 2bbl with 220hp. The 3 speed push-button TorqueFlite automatic transmission is original as well. It also has Chryslers new Park feature to go along with the push button transmission so she cant roll away from you. The rear end is factory original as well. The undercarriage is untouched, very clean and rust free! This Fury was recently treated to a list of goodies including: new gas tank and lines, power top cylinders and pump, new brake and brake lines, cylinders and re-cut drums, water pump, water washer pump, tune-up, OLF and more. The car starts right up and easily keeps up with todays traffic. There is no pulling, no bouncing around the road and no rattling at all. The power top mechanism is completely silent, fits perfectly and locks in easily. The same applies to the boot. It snaps in, in seconds.
