THE STORY BEHIND THIS 1964 CHEVROLET C10 PICKUP
A few weeks ago, we had one of my favorite cars listed ... a 1966 Chevy Nova SS ... and a very nice gentlemen from West Virginia called and purchased it. He (like me) was a absolute Hot Rod / Classic Car fanatic ... and ... loved Pickups. He had a "Over-The-Top" restoration and Pro-Touring build ... a ... 1964 Chevy C-10 Short Bed Step-Side and offered it to us in trade. He stated that it only had 600 miles on it since completion ... and that ... he would provide me with over $20,000 in receipts for the engine alone. You see ... it had a Chevy Big Block 454 bored out to a 496, professionally built ... with ... all the best "Power" components including a 671 B&M Blower. Additionally, it had Vintage A/C and all the comforts of a Street Legal "PRO-TOURING MONSTER".
Well ... when it arrived at our new "FSD Hot Rod Ranch" I was thrilled. I was amazed with just how beautiful this '64 Chevy C-10
was ... and ... just how drivable this "MONSTER" could be.
It was everything he had represented it to be ... and ... more. From the Diamond Pleated Interior ... to ... all the Chrome Everywhere ... to ... the Completely Finished Underside, this Truck is incredible !!!!
Update: We just listed this truck today and received a call from a gentleman who informed us that he was the second owner ... and ... sold it to the gentleman above ... who ... sold it to me. Rarely does something like this happen ... but ... the guy who called me Really Loved this truck ... and ... wanted me to know "The Rest Of The Story".
The truck was built for a Trucking Company Owner in Cincinnati, Ohio and cost $80,000 - $100,000 to build. He stated that the Trucking Company Owner wanted a show truck to promote his business ... thus ... "What-it-Cost" was not a consideration. He just wanted the Biggest, Baddest Chevy C-10 he could get. My new second owner friend, confirmed that the mileage is correct and that the truck was never, ever raced or abused in any way.
