If you are in the market for a super cool, affordable, Classic Corvette that is sure to be a great investment and at the same time is a blast to drive then this Rare1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition is definitely a car you should consider. The last year of the C-3 Body style and the first year fuel injection was added in 20 years. I recently bought this gorgeous Corvette from a local gentleman who had inherited it from a close family member who pampered this car for years before passing away. While they love the car, they realized that the car really deserved to be owned by someone who had the space and passion for a classic. As you will see from the pics this Corvette has lived a very good life and is in amazing condition inside and out. The body on this Silver Beige Collector Edition is in excellent condition and close to flawless. It appears to be a no hit body and I have a clean carfax report I would be happy to provide to serious buyers. The Silver Beige color is a real eye catcher and the Collector Edition decal package makes these stand out among other C-3 Corvettes. Bronze Solar screened T-Tops are in great condition and when removed give this car a great open air feel. Overall the paint and body look fantastic. The front bumper had a minor crack in the paint so I had it professionally repainted. I noticed one or two minor rock chips that have been touched up but otherwise the body is truly near flawless.
The Silver Beige exterior is complimented beautifully by the unique Silver Beige interior with gray trim. Door panels and seats look fantastic with practically no wear and the seats are extremely comfortable. Power drivers seat works great. The Collector Edition came loaded up with goodies including power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, and more. Air conditioning blows ice cold! Original Am/fm/cassette still works. Center console looks great. Dash looks great with no cracks. Carpeting is in nice condition and overall the interior looks just as nice as the exterior. All of the gauges and lights appear to be working correctly and this '82 has just over 49,700 original miles on the odometer. Another unique feature of these Collector Editions is a the rear glass opens to access storage. However, the cable to release the hatch is currently not connected but we will work on getting that fixed if possible. Otherwise, as you will see in the pics the interior looks fantastic.
Under the hood sits the original 5.7L 350 V8 with the Cross Fire fuel injection system. With just over 49,700 original miles the motor is still very strong and fresh. Although horsepower ratings were way down in these years, the 200hp motor was still one of the strongest American V8 cars in 1982 and has plenty of power fro some spirited cruising. These cars also have the sweet sound of the ram air induction system that allows cold air to be pulled in to the cross fire system when the accelerator is pushed past the half way point. All of the 1982 Corvettes were only offered in Automatics and the 1982 Corvettes were the first to have the GM 4-speed 200-R4 Automatic. This transmission shifts super smooth and with these cars weighing in at a lightweight 3200 lbs the Cross Fire Fuel Injected V8 gets this C-3 moving down the road quite nicely. Four wheel disc brakes and four wheel independent suspension has this '82 handling and stopping like the true American Sports car that it is. The finned Aluminum wheels are in fantastic condition and wrapped in great set of Cooper Cobra Radials with tons of tread life left. The smooth and peppy V8 combined with the amazing handling Corvette is known for make this the perfect classic to take on a long drive and have some amazing fun while turning more heads then a new Corvette does. Chevrolet did a great job in honoring the final year of the C-3 with this limited production Collector Edition. These will surely continue to go up in value in the years to come!
