For Sale: 1983 Honda Civic in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

Showcasing a museum quality 1983 Honda Civic 1300 Hatchback w/ 14,275 original miles.  This car could be the best known original example of a second generation Honda Civic in the world. The Honda Civic (second generation) debuted in June 1979 with a more angular shape, increased engine power, and larger dimensions in all models. The design was closer aligned to its larger sister, the Accord and the car was generally more comfortable and sophisticated than the first generation Honda Civic.  They were produced from 1979 to 1983.  This car was built in Suzuka, Japan as the VIN number indicates.  This car was sold new in Muncie, IN where it spent its life until 2018.  This is documented on the clean Car Fax report which is included.  The original owner’s manuals and dealership key tag is also included.  From the information gathered it belonged to an older woman who used it sparingly.  When she passed the family took ownership.  This car has always been garaged and treated very well.  This car is original and in showroom condition. The body has no rust and the Ivory paint looks beautiful. The paint was tested for originally on every panel with an electric paint meter and passed with flying colors.  All of the glass and exterior appointments are in excellent condition.  The tan interior is like new and everything is in working order.  The trunk compartment is also like new and home to the spare tire with tools.  The original engine compartment is very detailed with no signs of oxidation or deterioration. The engine is a 1.3L 4cyl that runs amazing.  The engine is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission.  The undercarriage is very clean throughout.  All of the factory stickers and factory markings are still in place throughout the car.  It’s hard to believe this car is 35 years old.  It’s near impossible to find Japanese in good overall condition let alone a show room condition one with low miles like this one.  This car is a true time capsule that will make a great addition to any collection.
