83 years, it has been GM's longest-running nameplate and for
decades, one of its largest vehicles. MotoeXotica Classic Cars is
pleased to offer this 1987 GMC Suburban Sierra Classic that is in
absolute immaculate condition and well cared for. The original
manual in the glovebox is filled out with meticulous hand written
service records and really explains the story on why this truck
still looks and runs great today! This example was made in March
1987 in GM's Flint, Michigan factory. Finished in Medium Garnet Red
(code 75) with Tan inserts (code 60) and Victory Red accent
stripes, the truck's paint and trim are in overall excellent
original condition. There are a few blemishes on the leading edge
of the hood, as one should expect from a 31-year-old vehicle that
has been driven but taken cared of. The Suburban's bodywork is
straight, the engine bay is extremely tidy, the battery appears
new, the chrome bumpers look fantastic, the cargo area is in very
good condition. The Suburban has a 40-gallon fuel tank, which
translates to a superlative cruising range on the highway between
fill-ups. According to Chevrolet, the Suburban held up to nine
passengers and had almost 41 cubic feet of space behind the third
row of seats. With the second-row seat folded and third-row seat
removed, it swallowed 167 cubic feet of stuff and boasted a
3,911-pound payload. This Suburban rolls on Uniroyal Laredo
radials, size 235/75R15 at all four corners. Each one surrounds a
factory, vented rally wheel. The tires are in good condition while
the wheels are in very good order. Under the hood is a 350 CID
(5.7L) V-8 with throttle-body fuel injection (TBI) (code L05), a
94-amp generator and a heavy-duty cooling system. The motor is
linked to a Turbo Hydramatic 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission (code MD8). Driver convenience features include
air-conditioning, cruise control, tilt steering column, power
steering and power brakes. Inside, the Dark Maple interior is in
overall excellent condition. The front bench seat and 80/20 split
rear seat are in near-excellent order. The matching carpet is in
matching condition. The headliner also looks good. The two-spoke
steering wheel is in better-than-average shape, as is the
instrument panel with its complete array of gauges. The inner door
liners, with front map pockets, echo the rest of the interior's
condition. The truck also comes with electric clock and cigarette
lighter. A Kenwood AM/FM stereo with cassette deck completes the
interior. For model year 1987, the method of fuel delivery for the
engines was switched fromcarburetorstoelectronic fuel injection or
EFI. The system that GM chose was calledthrottle body injection or
TBI. Competition to this Suburban in 1987 included Chevrolet's
Suburban and Blazer, Dodge Ramcharger, Ford's Bronco and GMC's
Jimmy. VIN: 1GKER16K0HF521775 This truck is currently located at
our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the
odometer shows 73,323 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean
and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! CLICK HERE TO
