1966 Ford Econoline SuperVan.
Purchased from the estate of the original owner. 56,000 original miles, with maintenance documentation. The owners daughter was the executor of the estate. she told me he purchased this van to be his deer hunting rig and it's the only time he used it. It had been sitting unused for about 20 years. Basically an extended van shell. No radio, armrest or visor for passenger. Has exhaust port for auxiliary gas heater. No, it doesn't have the heater, believe me I looked for it everywhere.
I had it towed home and the next day after an oil change, new battery, plugs and plug wires, distributer cap and tune up kit it fired right up. Unfortunately the bottom butterfly in the carb was froze up, it would run, but not accelerate. So it sat in my garage for a year or so before my wife had someone come get it and made it road worthy. Brakes and brake linings, relined gas tank and all fluids and lubes. I added shackles to all the leaf springs to stiffen up the ride and away we went.
It has served us well as a mascot for our business for the last 10 years.
Assembled in Lorrain, Ohio in early May of 1966. 240 straight 6 cylinder, C-4 automatic transmission, extended body and auxiliary exhaust port. I did fiberglass small holes in the foot wells. Other than that it's still a pretty solid shell.
