Vehicle Description
1967 Dodge Dart Convertible
Widely regarded as one of the most successful compact platforms to
ever roll out of Detroit, the Dart offered buyers the same
excellent combination of performance and style in the '60s as it
does today. Whoever says you can't own a nice muscle car without
mortgaging the house obviously hasn't been to the Classic Auto Mall
where we take pride in selling Detroit's nastiest and most storied
creations.
For consignment a Dodge Dart GT Convertible. Exterior
At the front of this beautifully painted in white car, a body-width
stainless grille centers two large parking lights between two
larger headlights, a pristine chrome bumper and a silver on black
trimmed "GT" emblem. Above that grille, the car's defined hood
props Dodge's familiar chrome-trimmed power bulges in front of
like-new glass that's cleared by satin finished wipers, framed by
well-maintained stainless trim and capped by a correct white top.
Below that glass, multi-faceted body panels, which add an
unmistakable vintage flavor to the design, are detailed with
correct stainless wheel lip moldings. front quarter panel fender
emblems combine with a belt line molding in white framed by chrome,
perfectly complement traditional chrome door handles and a stylish
driver's mirror. And at the back of the car, a silver valence hangs
a 4th GT emblem off center to the right. Simple fanned out tail
lights, a second pristine chrome bumper and traditional stainless
exhaust tips bring up the rear.
Interior
In total beautiful black, the car's cockpit was correctly restored
all the way down to its paneled door frames. The front bucket and
rear bench seats are firm to the touch and feature correct black
covers that show no signs of tear or separation. At the bottom of
those seats, fade-free black carpet is protected by stylish "Dart"
branded floor mats; and between those seats, a factory correct
console frames Dart factory shifter in bright chrome trim, and a
top that resembles the Space Needle in Seattle. The car's pristine
padded dash hangs an old school horizontal speedometer beside a
correct Dodge solid state AM radio. In front of the driver, a
restored steering wheel spins stylish satin spokes around perfect
black ribbed foot pedals. At the sides of the seats, fresh door
panels hang new chrome hardware between straight stainless trim,
Dart GT emblems and stain-free armrests. And behind the cockpit, a
fully restored trunk props a brand-new mat below a restored bumper
jack.
Drivetrain
A 225CI inline 6 cylinder backed by a Torqueflite automatic
transmission sits inside an original (unrestored but very clean)
engine bay.
Undercarriage
All clean and mostly rust free (minor surface rust) environment,
structurally solid, and ready to roll. Flowmaster dual exhaust
winds its way underneath as well.
A family mover resting on the laurels of more powerful models, this
convertible Dart is your chance to get in on the ground level of
Mopar Muscle. All over nicely restored, a quick starter, and smooth
runner that is priced right.
