Vehicle Description
This is a nicely restored GTO. It's a good looker- sharp color,
sits nice, has hideaway lights (gotta have those) and a
spoiler.
EXTERIOR: It's really sharp looking, that's really why we bought
it. The body is really straight, they did a fantastic job making
sure everything is lined up. The rubber bumper fits as good or
better then any I've ever seen. It has two full quarter panels, not
cut up cheater panels. The metallic turquoise laid out real nice,
the clear coat finish is polished smooth as can be. I did not see
any flaws, no nicks, bubbles, cracks etc, not even on the rubber
bumper. In back it has a spoiler, new chrome bumper and new tail
lights. The black vinyl top is new and all the stainless trim
around the top and windows is polished like chrome. The windshield
is new, actually all the glass is excellent and fits real nice. The
jambs are painted real nice, the bottom of the doors or clean. Has
new weather strips and window seals.The 15 inch Rally ll wheels
have been sandblasted and repainted real nice. They put new correct
lug nuts and center caps on. New Cooper Cobra white letter
tires.
INTERIOR: It is actually really nice inside. New cushions in the
seat so the new upholstery fits tight as a drum. New carpeting,
headliner, visors, door panels and armrests. The original seat
belts are in excellent condition. The dash is very clean, new
chrome bezel, knobs and wood grain. This GTO has the rallye gauges
and in dash tachometer.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 400 motor was claimed to be rebuilt by
previous owner. Has factory H.O. exhaust manifolds and it's
upgraded with an HEI ignition and Edelbrock carburetor. Neatly
painted motor with original chrome valve covers. Radiator is an
upgraded aluminum and it has dual electric fans. The engine bay is
painted a nice black finish. There is power steering and power
brake systems.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Trunk floor is rock solid with no patches. It's
been sprayed with spatter finish. Bottom of the trunk lid and the
jamb is painted and real nice and glossy, new weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Good solid original metal. It's been resprayed to look
nice. Upfront it has disc brakes. The components look recently
replaced- brake hoses, ball joints, shocks. Steering box is new.
Bottom of the motor is clean, new fuel pump and high torque
starter. It has new dual exhaust from the motor back. New metal
brake and fuel lines, e-brake cables, rear shocks and body
bushings. The trans was claimed to be rebuilt by previous
owner.
