For sale is my 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 512 block (rare) casting number frame off restoration. To my knowledge this Chevelle is a true SS 454 car, no build sheet available. It was a completely rust free, vinyl top, that was gold on black with bench seat console automatic. It is now a 2015 Corvette Shark Grey metallic exterior/black interior, black vinyl top Chevelle. It has a very rare 454 512 block casting 454/4 bolt main block, that I don't know if it is original to the car and a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes with a vacuum booster, 12 bolt posi with 411 gears, lope cam, boxed lower rear control arms, and front and rear sway bars, 2 1/2 inch Flow Master exhaust, It now has original style all leather seats with buckets in front, All glass has been replaced and is new, and has approx. 158 miles on the complete frame off restoration. This Chevelle 454 SS is an awesome car, I am 56 years old and have built many very nice muscle cars. I must say this is the nicest one I have ever done and it runs and drives very nice. The underside of the car and the engine compartment is painted the same color as the body color, The shift points are perfect and it goes down the highway very nice at 55 miles per hour with the 411 gears. It never runs hot even in 90-100 degree temps, the engine temp will not go over 185 degrees even while on a slow car cruise. I am guessing horsepower rating is between 500-550, it is a street strip car and it is a great cruiser very driver friendly on the street it idles at 800 rpm and has that BBC rumble.
