THE STORY BEHIND THIS 1947 PLYMOUTH SPECIAL DELUXE
A few weeks ago, I sold a 1970 Frame-Off Restored Corvette to a very nice gentleman from California and took two of his cars in trade.
Well ... as we were working on the deal ... he explained to me that this 1947 (Suicide Door) Plymouth was a complete Resto-Mod build with a Chevy "LS" based 5.3 V8 Vortec Engine (out of a 2004 Chevy Tahoe with matching L-460 Automatic Transmission).
Additionally .. he stated it had:
Honestly, I was amazed. I had never seen a 47 Suicide Door Plymouth Resto-Mod ... and ... could not even imagine all the time and money it must have required to build this one.
Well ... when it arrived, I was genuinely pleased. It was everything he had represented it to be and more.
