This Dodge Challenger Rallye is a garage-kept Texas car that has
been under the same ownership for the last 29 years. It comes
equipped with a 340 cu in V8, 727 automatic transmission, power
brakes with front discs, power steering, Rallye gauge cluster with
8000 rpm tac, bucket seats with console, RT hood with hood pins,
engine call-outs on the hood, dual exhaust with tips, chrome gas
cap, bumper guards, map light, factory undercoating, heavy duty
alternator, heavy duty battery and 3 speed wipers. The current
parts list is as follows: Engine: Date coded 340 .30 over, TRW
forged flat top pistons (1970 spec. for higher compression),
windage tray, Melling oil pump, double roller timing chain, ARP rod
bolts, Hughes Engines solid lifter cam - intake .582", exhaust
.597", duration @.50 - 238, 246. 340 J heads with 2.02 valves and
Hughes Engines Stage 1 porting and kit , Hughes valve springs;
Hughes 1.6 roller rockers and shafts with custom push rods,
Edelbrock Performer Air Gap Intake with Hughes port matching. The
engine runs well and makes excellent power well past 6300 RPM.
Electrical: MSD pro-billet distributor, MSD 6 AL, Power Master
Alternator, NGK plugs, Power Master mini-starter. Engine wire
harness was replaced and remaining electrical systems work.
Transmission: 727 fully rebuilt by Kirkpatrick Engines, WI. Koleen
clutches and Red Eagle steels, band and servo work, hemi 2.0
shifter lever, shift kit, Gear Vendors O.D.; custom assembled Frank
Lupo Dynamic 9-1/2 converter, Bouchillion kick down cable kit,
Mopar deep transmission pan. Suspension & Gear: 8-3/4 rear end,
3.91 Sure Grip gear with 489 case, wheel bearings and brakes on all
4 corners have been replaced, Power Steering rebuilt by Steer &
Gear. All suspension rubber parts have been replaced, Firm Feel 1"
torsion bars, fresh rear leaf springs with Edelbrock shocks. 15"
Weld Pro-Star aluminum wheels with B.F. Goodrich Radial TA tires.
All suspension parts have been detailed to the proper color. Fuel
system: Edelbrock 750 Performer carb, with filter kit, Edelbrock
performer fuel pump and new � fuel line and tank sending unit.
Exhaust: Hooker Super Competition Headers - Jet Hot ceramic coated,
Kirkpatrick custom made x-pipe, Dynomax Ultra flow mufflers, TTI
stainless exhaust tips. Interior: Just Dashes dash (not a cover
pad, but complete refresh in the correct material and color),
gauges professionally calibrated by The Tac Man - clock has quartz
movement, everything works. Seats are correct vinyl by Legendary
Interiors. All plastic panels are in good shape with no holes
drilled or cut, Wide Band O2 sensor with Auto Meter gauge. Carpet
Legendary Auto and is correct type with custom Challenger emblem
floor mats. Body: FE5 Red, Black interior. The rear tail lights are
finished with the correct textured Argent paint. The chrome is
excellent - bumpers, wheel lip moldings, and flip top gas cap are
new, door mirrors were re-chromed by Grafton Custom Chrome, the
stainless moldings are all present and in good shape. Vinyl top is
correct material from Legendary Auto. All of the underside of the
fenders, floor boards and frame rails are painted with protective
