This 1966 Shelby Cobra is a prime example of what a performance
'Replicar' should be. We lack specifics as to the origin of the
car, but we believe the following to be true regarding the chassis:
the boxed frame is very stout with conventional front suspension
(probably Mustang II) and a Ford 9" rear differential. The engine
was built and installed (2016) by Prestige Motorsports here in
Concord. Prestige has been building rugged performance engine
packages for years and we met with them to define the
specifications of this motor. The engine is the 427ci small-block
Windsor-based stroker motor. Specs include: forged
crank/pistons/rods, Dart aluminum heads, Comp hydraulic roller cam
(.568/.526), Edelbrock Air Gap intake and Quick Fuel SS-750 double
pumper carburetor. Each blueprinted engine is dyno tested upon
completion and the dyno sheets for this 427 are furnished - max
518bhp/541lb/ft. The rumble from the side-pipe headers leaves no
mistake that this motor is all business. Torque is transferred to
the Ford differential by a 5-speed Tremec manual transmission. Rear
gearing is 3.73:1. The body was finished in Cobra Blue w/white
strips and is in very good condition. The black vinyl interior is
all business including a roll cage and M&R 5-point racing
lap/shoulder harnesses. A full compliment of gauges is perfectly
positioned in the functional dash. Brakes are front disc/rear drum
and American Racing 15" alloy wheels mount performance radials. The
current owner has taken good care of this handsome Cobra and is now
ready to pass it on to the next caretaker. If you want a Cobra
replicar that you can really drive and enjoy, this is your car. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
