Vehicle Description
1950 Buick Special Sedanet. Trophy winner with original Straight
Eight 248 ci motor, slightly modified with 1941 Buick dual two
barrel carburetors and dual exhaust. The engine head was rebuilt to
accommodate today's gasoline. The undercarriage has been completely
refurbished to original knee action shocks with coil springs and
original drum brakes. The floorboards and trunk are solid, and new
door sills installed. Both the factory three speed manual
transmission and the motor have been resealed. Really nice black
paint with period correct grey vinyl and cloth interior. Wire
wheels and Buick caps from Motor Spot replaced the steel wheels and
'dog bowl' hub caps. The car was completely rewired with cloth
covered wiring harnesses from Rhode Island Wiring Service and
converted to 12 volt. The trunk has been upholstered and a vinyl
wheel cover for the spare. A Fulton sun visor and original fender
skirts have also been added. As a nod to my hot-rodding days, I
added 80' Lake Pipes that are functional and removable. As a
special added attraction, the car also has flame thrower exhaust.
This car has won over sixty awards and trophies including several
Best of Show and People's Choice, Mayor's Award twice, Governor of
Nevada Award and was the 2014 Poster Car for Hot August Nights. It
does not fail to turn heads. Please Note The Following **Vehicle
