For Sale: 1968 Triumph TR250 in Elyria, Ohio

Vehicle Description

Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1968 Triumph TR250 Roadster. If you are looking at this car then you already know its special. Let's talk about just how special. One of 8,484 TR250's ever produced by Triumph. It has been estimated that less than 600 of them are still with us. Now let's throw in that this one has travelled just 31,652 from new. That's correct you are looking at a true survivor. When we had an opportunity to buy this car from a local collector we were both excited and honored to be entrusted with this car. Being Healey guys for over thirty plus years we have also become British Car Guys and we really appreciate all British cars but especially original type cars. This one certainly fits the bill. NEVER RUSTED this Signal Red TR presents beautifully with a very nice patina. One repaint long ago still shows well and gives the car a very nice look and feel- like a comfortable pair of well cared for slippers. The interior is original leather and simply beautiful, once again showing the signs of light, caring use. Nothing in the interior is repop new junk- it's all real Triumph and original. The chrome shows as you would expect 50-year-old original chrome to show. The entire car just has a very nice, for lack of a better term, even look.Runs and drives very nicely, just like a car that has low original miles and has never been taken apart and "restored and made better". Also, worth mentioning is a working, spot on overdrive that makes this TR a joy to drive at highway speed- flip the OD switch and instantly drop RPM's for a comfortable cruise. The engine in this car is a couple hundred numbers away from what the Heritage Certificate says it should be- typo? Replacement under warranty? It is a TR250 engine and beyond that we don't really think we care. The whole car is so honest.Tr4- great looking-little performance. TR6- tons of them made and maybe not quite as attractive as the 4. The 250 gets you the best of all worlds- 6 Cylinder performance, great styling and with its survivor condition most likely an investment grade car.Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours. We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet.... We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.Additional pictures and video are available, please call 440-365-7311 for more photos, information or to schedule a test drive.
