Vehicle Description
The tri-five Bel Airs are always some of the hottest cars on the
market, and this 56 is sure to make anyone envious of the new
owner.
Why This Car Is Special
This is a real deal V8 powered Bel Air convertible, from the
factory. The VC to start the VIN let us know that, and she has been
meticulously restored.
Mechanical
The legendary Bel Air is powered by none other than the equally as
legendary 350 CID V8. Painted in Chevrolet orange and topped off
with a black air cleaner and black finned valve covers, the engine
sure fits well in this build. The power is routed through a 2-speed
Powerglide automatic transmission, shifted on the column. The
exhaust is routed through dual pipes with glass pack mufflers for a
great powerful sound.
Interior
The interior is a great match to the paint scheme with Turquoise
and White vinyl upholstery. Modern AM/FM radio with speaker nicely
tucked into the kick panels allow you to crank your favorite tunes
while you cruise in style. A matching convertible top boot fits
very well and gives the car a nice buttoned up look. Seat belts
front and rear provide safety, and even look great on this Bel Air.
The dash in these cars is regarded as one of the most beautiful and
is often used in other custom builds. This car has the swing out
Kleenex box under the dash in front of the passenger, which is a
very neat touch.
Exterior
Turquoise and White paint scheme is a great fit on these Bel Airs,
and this car shows why. The car is a true Turquoise and White. The
photos show it more blue than it is in real life. Color matched
steel wheels with hub caps and white wall tires look very classy.
This is an iconic classic automobile and a real piece of American
history. One look and it's easy to see why so many people have
fallen in love with the Chevrolet Bel Air. They look great from
every angle.
Conclusion
This would make a great first classic car, or a fine addition to
even the most prestigious collection.
